A door
Homestead Defense
A door that is a game, and says so plainly. After dark, the predators come down the road for the flock: raccoons, foxes, coyotes, and now and then a bear. You hold the Tennessee homestead with the crew that actually lives there. Place your defenders on the field, build a maze they cannot seal shut, and keep the coop standing until morning. There is no morning. The waves do not stop.
Built October 23, 2026. Updated October 24, 2026: one control deck, exact stats on every defender button, sounds, and a pop-out window. Updated October 25, 2026: the control deck moved under the field, buy options at the bottom, and the pop-out window is sized to fit one screen. It grows out of Chad's own tower defense designs: the maze, the targeting modes, and the Trip Line are his.
How it works
Pick a defender, then click a field square to place them. Defenders block the road, so the predators re-path around them; a placement that would seal the road completely is refused. Kills pay eggs, and eggs buy defenders, upgrades, and second chances. Click a placed defender to upgrade them (three levels) or sell them back. The targeting mode applies to the whole crew: First hunts the predator furthest along the road, Strong the toughest, Weak the frailest, Close the nearest.
The crew: Poppi the pup is cheap and quick. Bunny the Great Pyrenees is the steady all-rounder. Loki is the fastest bite on the place. A goat headbutts hard up close and staggers what it hits. Hamster the pig is a wall with opinions: almost no bite, but anything near him gets tangled and slows to a crawl. Buster the macaw squawks on a slow beat and stuns everything in earshot. Freya the Great Dane stomps: slow, heavy, and splash damage. The Trip Line is Chad's signature: place two within reach of each other and they string a line between them; anything that crosses it takes damage and a stun. Weather rolls in by wave: rain slows the whole road, and in a storm the lightning helps you.
Every defender button in the control deck shows its exact numbers, and hovering a button gives the full readout. The deck holds the status, the buy bar, and the game controls in one place. Sound is on by default once you start playing, and the Sound button turns it off. Pop out opens the game in its own small window.
The field
The flock is in the coop and the road is quiet. Place your defenders, then start the first wave.
