Jennifer Wai: energy healer, Jersey City

“The path to enlightenment is hilarious.”

Jennifer Wai is a friend of this house and a working energy healer in Jersey City, New Jersey. At her private studio on Coles Street she works one person at a time with reiki, tuning fork sound healing, shamanic guidance, and intuitive readings. She serves Jersey City, Hoboken, Bayonne, and New York City in person, and her readings reach clients anywhere in the world. She is also the comedian behind Sacred Comedy, and the two crafts are the same motion: pay close attention to what a person is carrying, and help them set some of it down.

Her own words for the work: “I combine reiki, sound healing, and shamanic guidance along with intuitive energy scanning.” Most practitioners in her area specialize in one of those. She works across all three at once, in the same session, and that is the whole offer.

The sessions

From her services page, checked October 24, 2026. Every session is personalized to the day. Full details and booking are on jenniferwai.com/services.

• Energy Reset: Reiki + Sound (45 min). The starting point for new clients, and a tune-up for regulars.
• Reiki + Sound Resonance: Energy Recalibration (60 min). Her most popular session, for when you know something is off and you are ready to address it.
• Reiki Only (60 min). Two lineages in one session: Jikiden Reiki (6th generation) and Holy Fire Reiki.
• Reiki, Sound + Intuitive Reading (90 min). For when something needs to shift but you cannot quite name what. You leave with relief and clarity.
• The Full Tune-Up (120 min). Shamanic journeying, reiki, and precision tuning fork sound therapy together. Her most complete session. She warns it is intense and to clear the rest of your day after it.
• Remote Energy Reading by Zoom (60 min). Oracle reading plus a full intuitive energetic scan, anywhere in the world.
• Event experiences. Ten minute sound, reiki, and oracle reading sessions brought to offices, retreats, and private gatherings in Jersey City, Hoboken, and New York City.

What clients report, from the testimonials on her own site, checked October 24, 2026: clarity on the cloudiest parts of a life, leaving a session feeling lighter, mood and energy improved, sleeping better. Her site is also plain about the limit, and this door repeats it plainly: energy healing is not a medical treatment and does not replace conventional care. It works alongside it.

The desk reviews her doors

Every link below was read by this desk on October 24, 2026. These are our reviews, written to help you choose where to start.

• jenniferwai.com, her practice site. The real front door. Services, her story, testimonials, and a straight FAQ that answers the skeptical questions first, including whether you need to believe anything for it to work (you do not, you just need to be open). Start here if you are booking in person.
• The 20 minute reading, her booking page. Twenty minutes, by phone, recording included, $75. The smartest first purchase on this page: small price, real sample of the work, and she will point you to the right full session afterward.
• Sacred Comedy on YouTube. The show's video home, 20 episodes. The format is the review: a working comedian sits down and receives a real tarot, psychic, or energy reading on camera, so you watch the work happen instead of hearing it pitched. The season on display is from 2024; she stayed active elsewhere into 2025.
• Sacred Comedy on Apple Podcasts. Rated 5 out of 5 from 3 ratings, checked October 24, 2026. Twenty episodes of comedians and practitioners talking about healing, intuition, and the challenges of human-ing, with a reading in the middle of most of them.
• The Self-Consciousness Podcast on Spotify. Her earlier show, spirituality through a neurodivergent lens. She closed it on December 4, 2025 with an honest farewell episode that sends listeners to Sacred Comedy. The back catalog is candid in a way most practitioners never risk: her own anger, menopause, and failures, on mic. It is the credibility file for the whole practice.
• @sacredcomedy on TikTok. Her largest room by far: 5,734 followers, 346 videos, 122,700 likes, checked October 24, 2026. If you want her voice in short form before you commit to anything, this is the free sample that actually represents her.
• @thesacredcomedy on Instagram (293 followers) is the show's account. Her practice account is @thejenniferwai (661 followers), and its bio is her credential list: 6th generation Jikiden Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki Master, Sound Healer, Intuitive Guide, Shamanic Practitioner, Jersey City, Hoboken, NYC. Clean separation: the comedy in one account, the healing in the other.
• Her sound healing playlists on Spotify. The listening side of the practice, free to start with.
• Support her work on Cash App, $thejenniferwai. For readers who want to put something in the jar without booking.
• Her Linktree. Everything above, in her own order, in one place.

Why this door exists

She stood with this family in a hard week without being asked twice. That is what a friend is. This door opened on October 24, 2026. If her work helps you, the best thank-you is the one she would choose: book the reading, watch the show, and tell somebody who is carrying something heavy that the path to enlightenment is hilarious.
